I saw him again. The first time was when I
almost hit by a car. I was crossing the crosswalk and I didn’t realize until I
heard the slowdown. Luckily it was nothing, only the scare. I remember the
moment he going out of his red car and approached me to ask if I was good. I
was terribly confused, who didn’t? Then I stared at his deep blue eyes. I
just thought: “These eyes can’t be of a person”. So wonderful. I felt secure
when he catched my shoulder, but I was lost. I blinked a couple of times and I
said: “Ok, I’m fine”. But I didn’t. A lot of people looked at us, curiously,
and I couldn’t help feeling embarrassed. I just run. I run and I went far away
from there. I never thought I’d see him again. But life is like a surprise box,
and you have to open it to discover what's inside.
Yesterday I entered in a bookstore to look for a
gift’s friend. I was reading names, the synopsis. I dressed black trousers and
a white shirt (specifically of my wardrobe’s mother). Suddenly I noticed a hand
on my arm and I jumped.
─Sorry, can you tell me where is…? ─I turned my head before the person finished. He showed wonder when he recognized me. Seconds of silence and then he spoke.
─Sorry, can you tell me where is…? ─I turned my head before the person finished. He showed wonder when he recognized me. Seconds of silence and then he spoke.
─Are you…? Umm… You’re not the assistant ─And
in that moment he was the confused person.
─No, I’m not. I spite of dressing like one ─I
said smiling.
─Oh… ─He was thinking─ Oh, I’m so sorry. But…
you’re the girl that… ─he marked me with her finger─ You run away. Why? I
wanted t help.
─Sorry, but I have to pay this book ─I didn’t
want to talk─ Bye.
In his face there was strangeness.
In his face there was strangeness.
When I paid it I tried to go out as quickly as
possible, but he followed me.
─Hey, what’s the matter?
I sighed.
─Let me go. I don’t have to explain, ok?”
─I just wanted to say that I didn’t mean hit
you. I was distracted and I didn’t see you.
─No matter… ─I whispered and went home while
he was standing up opposite the bookstore.
